How to Heat Emboss 3 Different Ways

We did 3 kinds of Heat Embossing. Let’s review each one as you watch the video. One on has a different set of step, but the basic steps are the same.

Basic heat embossing.

1.  Always use an embossing buddy to prevent the embossing powder from sticking. It take the stack out of your paper, and causes the embossing paste to only stick anywhere the VersaMark has stamped.

2. Apply VersaMark to the stamp with a tap tap tap motion.  Now stamp your paper.

3. Sprinkle embossing powder over the area where you stamped the VersaMark. It should only stick on the part stamped.

4. Heat set using a heat tool. Continue with the heat until all the powder is shiny. IF, you stop too soon it will rub off.

Heat embossing using colored ink

1. Always use an embossing buddy.

2. Apply VersaMark to the stamp with a tap tap tap motion.

3. Now stamp your colored ink Pad.  It will not hurt your Stampin’ Up ink pads.  Stamp your paper.

4. Sprinkle Clear  embossing powder over the area where you stamped with the VersaMark. It should only stick on the part stamped.

5. Heat set using a heat tool. Continue with the heat until all the powder is shiny. IF, you stop too soon it will rub off.

Heat Embossing over colored or previously embossed areas.

1. Always use an embossing body.

2. Apply VersaMark to the stamp using a tap tap tap motion.

3. You can not stamp the paper or you can stamp a colored ink pad. Either will work fine.

4. Sprinkle Clear embossing powder over the area where you stamped. It should only stick on the area that was stamped.

5. Heat set using a heat tool. Continue with the heat until all the powder is shiny. IF, you stop too soon it will rub off.

Caution:   Always be careful to not over heat the embossing powder. It is possible to burn the embossing powder. Be careful to not burn your fingers or the object you have laid your project on, as it can burn through.

Remember to close up your VersaMark, ink pad and embossing powder to prevent spilling, or drying out the pads.
