The Masking technique is a great technique used to bring together two or more stamps to create one unique look. Create entire scenes or add a little something to a background. Although it seems difficult, it’s actually rather easy to do and a lot of fun. You will be amazed at what you can create when you start using it. Watch this video to learn more.
Also, consider using more than one single stamp set to make your projects your own. The fun is in creating some “out of the box” type images that really pop. While traditional stamping is great, use the masking technique and the Stamparatus to completely change the look of any stamp set. Look at the card below as you think if it was made with one stamp set. However, with a closer examination, and by marking each stamp, you can see 3 different sets were used. In this example, it is all about placement.

Using the Stamparatus and a combination of stamp sets, you can create anything you desire. Looks like each one belongs together.
Masking Technique for Kids
While the technique is fun for adults, let’s see how much fun it would be for kids to get in on the action. Creating fun projects can be interesting for a kids party or gathering. Below is one of the projects we looked at earlier in the week. The Window Box Framelits combines 2 different stamp sets with ease.
Finally, let’s take a look at one more. Obviously I saved the cutest for last. Look at these adorable little buddies. So fun hanging together on this card. However, they are NOT from the same stamp set.
