Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts Stamp set is a stamp set I purchased back with the new occasions catalog came out. Simple fell in love with the set the second I laid eyes on it. Yet every time I sit down to stamp, I would forgotten this awesome set. (I am sure none of you have every done this!!).
Today, let me show you the beauty of Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts stamp set.
This stamp set has so many beautiful stamps in it. Let’s take a look at a few cards, I put together this weekend.
I could not help myself when it came adding to color for this design. Using a dauber I simply add color to the card base. Keeping the top lighter and allowing my color to become a shade darker at the bottom.
By now, you know I love adding a little something to the inside. This one is no different. Not sure why it appears to be pink? The inside of the card is actually Whistper White.
Let’s look at another card completed with the same set.
Here I am using one of my favorite techniques. Embossing in white. Of course I also used my favorite paper Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum. When embossing with white on a dark card, be sure to use you embossing buddy. It really make a hug difference.
Each card can easily be made into an elegant Easter card. The inside is blank but not
empty.
Had a little help with this card. Denise James, one of my many talented team members/demonstrators for Stampin Up, made this card for one of our swaps. As soon as I started working with this stamp set, I put out a text message, begging to use her card in my blog. She said, “Sure.” Thanks Denise.
Denise has a ways adding color most do not even thing about. Like, Tranquil Tide with Painted with Love. But as you can see; it looks great. Simple love her talent.
Now Denise is another one that feels like for a card to be finished it most have something on the inside. I am Lucky to have her as a friend and team member.
As great as the flower cart is; this stamp set has so many awesome ways it can be used. Here is another example of how I used some of the stamps to create a designer background.
Using two of the stamps in the Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts, I created the front of this card. Then I colored each flower with our water- color pencils. I also have another secret on this card….. I never run out of matching ribbon. In this case, I used the 1/4″ Organza Ribbon and colored it with my Stampin Blends. Matches perfect every time.
I wanted the inside to be free of sentiment. See I am the sort of person that likes to write my own message. But adding a bench with flowers, give it a warm feeling.
